Autumn poem

Autumn is when leavs start to get crunchy.

Under my feet I step on a leaf and it makes a crunch sound.

Trees have small leaves and huge leaves.

Under my feet I fell crispy leaves.

My hands are so cold I can’t feel them.

Near me I see orange, red leaves.

Water safety

In room 9, we have been learning  about water safety. I hope you leartnt something new.

Eletricity is in light bulbs

Lightsbulbs make electricity.

Current electricty

Turn off everthing you after you finish using it.

Reuse electricity because it helps you.

If you rub a balloon on your head it will make static electricity

Charge your phone but don’t play on it while it is charging

Internet is created by eletricity.

The electricity travels thourgh power lines

You need to save eletricty!!

My Recount

I woke up in 1850 and there's no electricity.

I went outside and it was dark. I checked in every
house and asked them, “Do you have any electicty
no they said. Then I saw the lights turning off
and on but then it turned off for a while then went
back on, it did it in the whole city what was doing it?
It was my cat I forgot I had a switch to the whole city
so I turned it on. I went outside and it was bright.
They all came in my house and said thank you! 

Barkhadle

Today I learned aout kids moving to New Zealand. We got to choose one kid and I chose Brkhane. He is from Kenya and he hadn’t seen toys or stairs. He left because there was a war. It was way too hot in Kenya. There were alot of things that surprised him. He enjoys some things in Kenya too. Like books, classmates, teachers and playing. New Zealand is a long way from Kenya. Barkhandle celebrates Eid, Eid is a religious holiday that the Ramadan holy month for muslims.

There were meerkats. They woke up and saw a fruit. But then a big vulture came and took the fruit then laughed at them. The meerkats were surprised. Then the meerkats screamed “ahhh” all the meerkats shouted together. They started to rush at the volture. The vulture tryed to fly faster but they were too fast. They climbed on his leg and made a ladder. The vulture flew so high they went to the sky. The vulture was so angry he chucked them in the sky.  One meerkat got the fruit. The vulture flew to the one that had it, then they passed it around, the vulture tried to catch but it slipped.The vulture flew so fast he  crashed into a huge rock. The fruit fell to them and they passed it again they were playing with the fruit one meerkat kicked and it went SPLAT! They were really shocked!               

Spring

As I am walking I can smell the fresh spring air going through my nose. The rough wind blows off the leaves on the trees. The amazing flower smells runs through the whole place. The sweet smells make me go closer. Butterflies and bees are really attracted to pollen. The peaceful people make me relax. When I smell the fresh flowers I start to get hungry. I feel so happy because I love spring. 

 

Information report- bees

Did you know bees are insects besause they have six legs and three body parts.

They have hairs on their body because the pollen sticks onto the hairs.  Did you know the antenie help them touch, smell and even hear!

The bees have to protect the queen because if they don’t they wiil not know what to do then they will die.  Bees communicate by doing the waggle dance.

The stinger has venom in it called apitoxin. Bees collect nectar then eat the pollen and make honey. 

Their main colour is black and yellow. Bees live in bee hives because they need to look after the queen bee but the females go and collect pollen.
